Nearby Community damaged by tornados


Pulaski, a town near Blacksburg, especially its Draper area, was damaged by two tornadoes Friday night. This is one home on Sunday morning. The family was dealing with it. One of the family members who lived in the home was injured.

Airport runway extension


This was an attempt to photograph the beginning of the work to extend runways at the local general aviation airport. But I can't get close. The newspaper article about the work said that "xx"s have been painted on the runway to warn pilots but I couldn't see them from the sidewalk.
