Goodwin Engineering Building



Goodwin, the newest building at Virginia Tech, is the new home of several engineering departments.  The top photo is a jet engine hanging from the ceiling near the entrance.  Hope the doors several floors below provide some scale to its size.  A robotics lab seems cluttered with robots and a three-D printer is available in the hallway for any students to use.

The National Weather Service held an open house showing the way weather is forecast for our region and its part in the national and global forecasts.  The balloon in the demonstration is much smaller than the real balloons that are launched twice a day for real-time data collection.
