A toast to the haggis in honor of Robert Burns, poet.  He was born Jan. 25, 1759 in Alloway, Scotland, and died in 1796.  His birthday is celebrated worldwide with the toast to the haggis.

Last night there was enough snow to see and keep me home.  However the forecast is for a lot more tomorrow.  Everything is closed except the grocery stores, thank goodness.

The rocks that make the hill in front of the historic Black House and the Connor House are exposed because of remodeling of Draper Road.  The  rocks seem at a major angle.

Potato Drop


A view of what it takes to distribute food to where it is needed.  A truck from Maine delivered "lots" of potatoes to a parking lot at Virginia Tech.  Volunteers from churches and the university divided it and got it to a lot of places that will distribute it.
