Walkway to Seven Chimneys

One of the historic buildings along the government complex, Seven Chimneys, houses offices.  It got its name because of its architecture--built at a time when fireplaces provided heat to the home.

Celebration Blacksburg High School graduation

Many business on Main St. fill the windows with the names of BHS graduates.  These three businesses are on a main intersection.  Iconic buildings, two of them feature white pillars.

 At the corner of E. Roanoke St. and E. Harding Ave.  The person who tends the area maintains a lovely lawn and garden too.

 There are some classic places to view the Mountain Laurel--Blue Ridge Parkway--and some front yards.

Commencement all week

 Virginia Tech is celebrating in-person commencement just about all week.  The downtown is flying the Tech flags.  (Commencement is still socially distanced and masked)

 In this time of masking and social distancing, singing groups are challenged.  These singers are following the health recommendations.

Bridge on Huckleberry Trail

 The bridge is part of the Huckleberry Trail.  The sign marks that it is named to honor Ron Rordam, civic leader.

The Hill Golf Course is ready.

 There were a few golfers on the course.  This is the putting green.
