League of Women Voters School Board Forum

Candidates from one district were represented at the League of Women Voters of Montgomery County Forum tonight.  There was a School Board Meeting, so incumbent candidates were not able to participate.  Busy time for all.

Twas quite a game

Virginia Tech football set a record of four overtimes in a game today.  Sadly, Tech lost to Duke.  It also was homecoming and a queen and king were crowned during half-time.

Tomorrow it will be filled

A view of Lane Stadium empty.  Tomorrow there will be a football game which will bring fans into those seats.

Political season

League of Women Voters of Montgomery County continued its sponsorship of events to hear candidates.  Tonight we heard from those who are seeking seats on the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors.  The Forums are video-taped for YouTube and that is a print media reporter in the front row, taking notes.

This community is grand.  I think this is an emu, living in a field within half a mile of Rt. 460, the main road.  The creature was most curious about my driving into the road.
