 My friend got great photographs of the large Valentines displayed at one of the Fraternity Houses on Main St.  My comment to her is that we are lucky to live in a university town.

Moving in

 Town returned to normal life with students moving into residence halls and apartments.

Signs on Virginia Tech campus

The history of Virginia Tech is told in the new signs on campus.  Above, the new sign is close to the official Virginia Historical Places sign.  The Hokie Stone sign, by the first building that used the Hokie Stone....next to one of many new buildings under construction.

 Virginia Tech building, at Prices Fork and Main St. is looking near completion.

 An old building that was several "used to be..." and maybe will change again.  I think it was originally built as a high school.

 Virginia Tech has a variety of styles of campus buildings.  These are near the edge of campus by downtown.

 The plan is to get a photo after the snow that is forecast for tonight.  Virginia Tech is on break, so few people around.

Statues by Municipal Building

 The statues have donned winter garb.  It is entitled Father and Son is by artist Jim Mills when he was a student at Virginia Tech.

K-9 Memorial

 This statue is at a memorial for police dogs at the College of Veterinary Medicine.
