The professional organization to which I have belonged for decades presented its annual awards today.

My professional organization held its fall conference in Richmond today.  Last night, some of us enjoyed a visit to the new aspects of the Valentine museum.  It is about to launch its new style.  The director and public relations person noted that we were, literally, the first to sit in the new chairs.
