Today was an especially beautiful day starting with the sunrise through the trees.

Alas, no live view of Venus

Alas, the telescope was the center of attention because it was too cloudy for the crowd of people who wanted to use it to see Venus cross the sun.  The Virginia Tech department of physics offered a good view from webcams in the Hahn Hall North auditorium.  Thank you.

Laundry

Main St. is visible from these apartments where a laundry line is in use.

Stadium Woods

The future of Stadium Woods, on the Virginia Tech campus, is being decided on amidst pleas to leave it as it is.  It is near the university's sports complex, apartments, and a walking path.

Community is quiet

The extra Main St. as well as Main St. is almost empty.

The painting of the second mural at the Farmers' Market is underway.  The painter said five are planned.
