Mural by construction

This beautiful mural has all the local high spots. It is by the construction of one of the new Virginia Tech buildings. I wish I could get closer (or that it was farther back from the fence.

Through the decades, this building has had many different businesses in it. It is in the middle of the downtown business district, surrounded by restaurants.

There was a restaurant behind this sign. It has been gone for a long time, but the sign is still on Jackson St.

New traffic light

Roanoke St., east and west, has been without its traffic signal for awhile. It isn't operating yet, but it sure looks finished. It matches the signals installed during the remodeling of Main St. They are suspended from the side instead of hung in the middle of the intersection.
