Southwest Virginia traditions

Roanoke's Center in the Square offered music as well as excellent theatre.  This hammer dulcimer player was prelude to a performance in Mill Mountain Theatre of Children of Eden.

Theatre at Barter

Barter, the State Theatre of Virginia, is magnificent professional theatre. It had two holiday shows. We went to see "A Tuna Christmas," at Stage II.

Juneteenth

Marvelous actresses portrayed the Delany sisters in the play "Having Our Say." It was Smithfield Plantation's production for Juneteenth and was staged on the lawn at the historic home.
